This year’s flax harvest has been processed, blended, and spun into a luscious, creamy yarn that’s just perfect for all your special projects. This 65% Targhee wool and 35% Chico Flax linen blend creates a soft crisp drape for any project you make using this yarn.
The natural, undyed color has beautiful warmth and character, and is also a perfect canvas for dyeing. It dyes beautifully with natural dyes.
Chico Flax linen is grown and processed locally and regeneratively, as is the Targhee wool. The yarn is spun in collaboration with Mendocino Wool and Fiber Inc. in Ukiah, CA.
Only 20-12 oz cones available in natural color.. This fingering lace yarn has approximately 2064 yards on each 12oz cone. It weaves up nicely at a 20-24 epi and is perfect for woolen fabrics and outerwear.
For smaller projects, check out our 4oz skeins 2 ply Sport weight yarn approximately 320 yards per skein.
Your purchase also supports regenerative, climate beneficial flax and our work towards a fully-local supply chain for high-quality linen in Northern California.
